A Bioinformatics and Systems Biology is looking for a full-time Research Assistant in Bioinformatics and NGS data analysis. The lab uses the integrative network analysis of multi-omics data to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying complex human diseases (cancer and diabetes) with the aim of discovering disease-related biomarkers and potential targets. This position is temporary and requires working from home/remotely.

Requirement and Responsibilities

​

• Hand-on experience and proficiency in NGS data analysis, including transcriptomics, genomics, and methylome data.

• Experience in data integration, visualization, and network analysis using Cytoscape.

• Experience in working on TCGA data will be an advantage.

• Experience and proficiency in R and Python/Perl programming languages required.

• Experience and proficiency in working Linux/Unix Operating Systems.

• Strong written skills supported by publication. 

• Conducting literature search.

• Supporting the writing of reports, papers, articles, etc.

• Ability to work under supervision while adhering to project deadlines.

Minimum qualification: MSc in Bioinformatics with relevant experience.

Salary range: INR per month 10,000 to 15,000.  

Duration: This is a full-time role (Monday-Friday) with a contract for a period of six months, which is extendable up to 2 years based on satisfactory performance and mutual interest. Preference will be given to Indian citizenship with work authorization.
