One month Internship 
in the area of 
“Bioinformatics, Genomics, Machine learning, and Big Data Analysis"
June 15 -  July 17, 2022

In this internship, we will provide basics to advanced training of all the tools, techniques, and methodologies used by the scientists in their research. After this internship, participant will be perfectly ready to start Master's degree/PhD/Postdoctoral research in the area of Bioinformatics, Genomics, Big data analysis, Machine Learning, and other related techniques like Next Generation Sequencing data analysis. This internship programme will provide a platform for faculty and researchers to improve their skills by updating themselves with latest methodologies in the area. We will cover basics to advanced aspects of all the topics mentioned below.   


Who can participate: Students (B.Sc./B.Tech/M.Sc./M.Tech), Research Fellows (JRF/SRF/RA etc.), PhD students, Faculty, Scientists, and Company Personals. 

Internship Logistics 

Last date of registration: June 13, 2022

Fee: Rs. 1500/- for Indian Participants, $30 (USD) for International Participants.

Timings: 07:00 PM - 08:00 PM (Indian Standard Time, IST). Every session will be 60-90 minutes duration.

  6. 'R' basics and publication quality graph preparations with R.

  7. Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data analysis: Data filtering.

  8. Whole Genome Assembly and annotations with NGS datasets.

  9. RNA-Seq data analysis and Identification of Differentially Expressed Genes (DEGs).

  10. Galaxy tool demonstration for data analysis.

  11. Microbiome analysis by Amplicon sequencing (Basics to Advanced data analysis).

  12. Metagenomics data analysis with NGS data.

  13. Gromacs tool for Molecular Dynamical Simulations (Introduction, Drug discovery, Force fields)

  14. Exome Sequencing data analysis and calling variants for disease prediction.

  15. Basics of ChIP-Seq, From Sample to Read, Quality Check and data pre-processing, Alignment/Mapping, Peak Calling and analysis, and Visualisation.
